The work behind the setting.

The pool was extended, so the existing custom-mix finish came off and the pool was refinished throughout, together with the coping and the rough black marble wall beside the pool.

The extension added a shallow ledge with an air-massage field that is switched on remotely from a phone app. The old steps were demolished and built new, the balance tank and the overflow were rebuilt — the overflow made larger and symmetrical — and the pool runs on a saltwater system. Fibre-optic lighting sits in the pool and on the black marble wall, a waterfall falls at the far end, and a projector on the roof can throw images onto the water.

The work at this villa was not only the pool. The kitchen was finished in PebbleCrete Supreme White Halo and the outdoor kitchen in PebbleCrete Classic French Grey.

Inside, the pool is PebbleCrete Supreme White Halo with extra mother-of-pearl accents. The coping and the shallow ledge are PebbleCrete Glass Raindrop.

PebbleCrete is made from natural stone and glass and is applied by hand, so colour and the mix of particles vary from batch to batch and from pool to pool. Lighting, screens, water depth and surroundings also change how a finish looks. These images are not a substitute for a physical sample. Always confirm your choice with a current physical PebbleCrete sample, viewed wet. By agreement and at extra cost, we can make an on-site mock-up (test panel) before work starts for you to approve. The finished surface should be judged against the approved mock-up and physical sample, not against the images on this site.
