Bayview Lodge

A hillside pool in Chalong, refinished in PebbleCrete Classic Pearl White with White Granite steps.

Location: Chalong, Phuket, Thailand
Completed: 2021
Type: Renovation
Our role: Pool renovation, finished in Pearl White with White Granite steps and a mosaic band at the water line
Finish: PebbleCrete Classic Pearl White in the pool · PebbleCrete Classic White Granite on the steps
Applied by: Pebble Pools

The work behind the setting.

The old finish came off down to the blockwork. The walls and the steps were re-rendered, then finished — the pool in PebbleCrete Classic Pearl White, the steps in PebbleCrete Classic White Granite.

A band of mosaic runs round the whole pool at the water line. This is a skimmer pool, and the band stops a wide dirty line from showing at the water level. The mosaic was laid on epoxy adhesive to hold it firmly.

The pool was kept under shade sheets while the finish went down.

Sample images are illustrations. They give a general idea of colour, texture and particle size and show the finish wet; the sample triangle represents about 12 cm of surface. PebbleCrete is made from natural stone and glass and is applied by hand, so colour and the mix of particles vary from batch to batch and from pool to pool. Lighting, screens, water depth and surroundings also change how a finish looks. These images are not a substitute for a physical sample. Always confirm your choice with a current physical PebbleCrete sample, viewed wet. By agreement and at extra cost, we can make an on-site mock-up (test panel) before work starts for you to approve. The finished surface should be judged against the approved mock-up and physical sample, not against the images on this site.
