Karon Butterfly Condominium

A condominium pool whose worn sandwash benches and steps were broken out and refinished.

Location: Karon, Phuket, Thailand
Completed: 2022
Type: Renovation
Our role: The old sandwash finish on the benches, steps and edges broken out and replaced in PebbleCrete
Finish: PebbleCrete Classic Aquamarine
Applied by: Pebble Pools

The work behind the setting.

The old sandwash finish on the curved benches, the steps and the pool edges was stained and worn, and tiles at the waterline were coming away.

The old finish was broken out down to the base and replaced in PebbleCrete Classic Aquamarine, then washed before the pool was filled. The work was done at the end of 2022.

Sample images are illustrations. They give a general idea of colour, texture and particle size and show the finish wet; the sample triangle represents about 12 cm of surface. PebbleCrete is made from natural stone and glass and is applied by hand, so colour and the mix of particles vary from batch to batch and from pool to pool. Lighting, screens, water depth and surroundings also change how a finish looks. These images are not a substitute for a physical sample. Always confirm your choice with a current physical PebbleCrete sample, viewed wet. By agreement and at extra cost, we can make an on-site mock-up (test panel) before work starts for you to approve. The finished surface should be judged against the approved mock-up and physical sample, not against the images on this site.
