Incoming water filtration and water tank lining

Pebble Pools installs incoming water filtration and lines water storage tanks for villas and hotels in Phuket. We remove iron and manganese before raw supply water stains your pool finish or domestic fittings.

Why raw supply water stains pools and villas

Many properties in Phuket and southern Thailand use borehole water or local deliveries containing dissolved iron and manganese. When untreated water fills or tops up a pool, it reacts with the pool water treatment and leaves brown, yellow or dark stains across the finish, grout and fittings.

  • Incoming water filtration for the pool fill and automatic top-up line to reduce metal staining
  • Filtering the main water supply into the villa so bathrooms, kitchens and laundry equipment receive treated water from the same plant
  • Protecting new PebbleCrete and tiled pool interiors from metal staining right from the first fill

Filtration vessels, water tanks and media servicing

We assemble and install incoming filtration sets matched to your raw water source, and we line concrete water storage tanks.

  • Filtration equipment with automatic backwash controls, selected for sediment and metal content in the incoming water
  • Waterproofing and lining concrete domestic water tanks and balance tanks
  • Periodic servicing of the filtration plant, including valve checks, backwash settings and replacing exhausted filter media when due
  • Checking raw water quality, existing storage tanks, booster pumps and pipe runs before specifying the setup

Draining, water supply and how work is organised

Most filtration work takes place in the pump room or beside the storage tanks. An on-site inspection decides whether a tank or pool must be drained, and the programme is agreed for the individual project.

  • Incoming filtration installation: inspection confirms water supply interruptions and pool use arrangements
  • Tank or pool must be drained: lining a concrete water storage tank or balance tank requires emptying that tank, and renovating a heavily stained pool shell requires draining the pool
  • Who decides what: we inspect your raw water, tank condition and plant space, then agree with you whether to filter the pool fill line alone or the whole property

What to send for a first discussion

Send us a few details so we can review your water setup before our visit.

  • Photos of your existing water tanks, incoming supply pipes, pump room and any staining in the pool
  • The property location, approximate pool size and whether water comes from a borehole, mains supply or truck delivery
  • What you want changed, such as pool fill filtration, whole-house filtration, tank lining or filter media servicing

Questions we are asked

Do we need to drain the pool to install incoming water filters?

No, fitting filter vessels on the incoming water line takes place in the plant area while the pool stays open. You only empty a storage tank if we are lining its interior, or drain the pool if the surface already needs renovation. An inspection confirms what is required.

Can one filtration system serve both the house and the pool?

A shared filtration system may serve the villa and pool top-up supply. We inspect the pipe layout, incoming water and demand before recommending the scope.

Who looks after the filter media once the system is running?

Automatic valves handle routine backwashing during normal use. We check the valves and water clarity during service visits and replace the filter media when it reaches the end of its working capacity.
