Pool lighting, projection and fibre optics
Good lighting transforms a pool after dark and keeps steps clearly visible. We install app-controlled LEDs, overhead projections and fibre-optic starry floors, and reseal leaking lights.

Lighting upgrades we install
Whether you want to replace dim underwater lamps, stop glare shining towards your terrace or add a feature for swimming after dark, we help you choose the right lighting setup and control method for your property.
- Underwater white and colour-changing LED lamps controlled from a phone app or home automation system
- Overhead and roof-mounted projectors that cast moving patterns or galaxy effects onto the water or a stone wall
- Fibre-optic starry floors, steps and feature walls, lit from a light source outside the pool
- Relocating lamps so light faces away from the terrace and dining areas rather than into your eyes
- Resealing and rebuilding leaking underwater light niches and cable conduits
Which lighting work needs draining and which does not
We inspect the existing lighting equipment and access before recommending upgrades. Inspection confirms whether the pool can remain filled, whether the water must be lowered or drained, and any restrictions on pool use.
Fibre-optic floors and walls are installed as part of a finish renewal in a drained pool, including projects with a new PebbleCrete finish.
- Overhead projection and lighting equipment upgrades: pool use and water level requirements confirmed at inspection
- Pool drained: fibre-optic starry floors and walls installed during a finish renewal
- Decided at inspection: leaking light niches and repositioning underwater lamp housings
Fixing leaking light niches
Underwater lights can be leak points in older pools. We inspect light niches and fittings, then agree any repairs and draining requirements.
We coordinate the work with your villa manager or hotel engineer, and the programme is agreed for the individual project.

Questions we are asked
Can fibre-optic lights be added without renewing the finish?
We install fibre-optic floors and walls as part of a new finish in a drained pool.
Can we control the new pool lights from a phone app?
Yes, we supply colour-changing LED lamps and controllers that connect to a smartphone app. You can switch lights on, dim them or change colours remotely.
How do you know if a pool light is causing a water leak?
During our inspection, we check the light housing and the cable conduit entry behind the lamp. If the seal has failed, we rebuild and waterproof it.
